Based in the heart of Worthing, West Sussex Sion School is a progressive, colourful co-educational school for pupils aged 3-18yrs.
All schools have values which underpin their culture – ours is one of kindness and care. We don’t have a religious denomination – all are welcome here. What we do have, is authentic connection between teacher and child – from the very youngest in Nursery through to our young adults in our Sixth Form.
Uncovering and discovering astonishing aptitudes and inspiring a quest for knowledge – can only be achieved when there is a profound knowledge of each individual child.
No one gets lost here.
Everyone is seen and heard.
Sion UK is part of a network of 22 schools around the globe with whom we regularly connect. This enables us to enjoy a global perspective through those vibrant relationships forged between Sion students and teachers across the world. When you come into Sion UK, you join an international family of like-minded young people and teachers. The aims are simple: to foster bridge-building, tolerance and understanding. All members of our school community are encouraged to embrace the school motto ‘Consideration Always’.
Looking after the whole child, is our determined mission. Our pastoral care includes both Mental Health First Aiders and a School Counsellor.
When a child is understood and feels valued and known, the academic attainment is breathtaking. Our latest GCSE results speak for themselves – 38% higher than the National Average. The majority of our students go on to higher education at their first-choice universities.

Our curriculum is broad and we offer numerous opportunities to extend and develop a student’s interests beyond the curriculum. The Learning Support Department works closely with all the academic departments to aid students to achieve their full potential, both SEND and the More Able.
Sion Education is all about the child – the individual person. This is our focus and is essential to the positive relationships and holistic growth of our young people, from our Nursery right through to our Sixth Form. Every child here will feel known, nurtured, heard and appreciated. To be able to be ourselves matters and this is essential to the positive culture of our school and the mental wellbeing of everyone.
In recent years, our students have secured places at some of the country’s top universities including Bath, Durham, Oxford and University College London. Indeed each year we have a number of students who go on to study at one of the top 10 Higher Education institutions. Students have gone on to study subjects that include Medicine, Law, Veterinary Science, Engineering and Maths as well as Art, Music, Design Technology and Business Management.
